Our Equipment for Sugar Refineries

TFFE

TFFE efficiently concentrates heat-sensitive liquids using a thin film inside steam- heated vertical tubes. It offers high evaporation rates, energy savings, and gentle processing for juices, milk, pharmaceuticals, and chemicals.

P-FFE

PFFE concentrates heat-sensitive liquids through thin films over heated plates, ensuring efficient heat transfer, low energy use, and gentle processing—ideal for dairy,beverages, pharmaceuticals, and other temperature-sensitive applications.

Ejector

A jet ejector creates vacuum by converting motive fluid pressure into kinetic energy. It entrains gases or vapors, compresses the mixture, and offers efficient, low-maintenance operation with minimal power consumption.

Spray Pond

Spray ponds cool warm process water using a controlled open-air mist system. Ideal where space allows, they offer a cost-effective, low-maintenance alternative to mechanical cooling, with 200+ global installations by SEDL.

Condenser

A condenser creates vacuum by using high-velocity water or steam to entrain gases via momentum transfer. This efficient, non-mechanical system is widely used in power plants and industrial vacuum applications.

Spray Nozzle

A spray nozzle, installed inside condensers, atomizes cooling water into fine droplets over vapor zones or tube bundles. This enhances steam condensation, improves heat transfer, and plays a vital role in vacuum generation in process industries.

Batch Pan

SEDL’s Honeycomb Calandria Pan enhances crystallization with a high surface-to-volume ratio, enabling faster strikes, lower energy use, and improved sugar quality. It reduces costs while operating efficiently with low-temperature vapors from FFEs.

Spray Continuous Pan (SCP®)

SEDL’s Spray Continuous Pan (SCP®) ensures uniform crystallization with reduced pressure and ΔT, maximizing steam economy. Its advanced controls allow real-time tuning, delivering consistent, customizable performance for raw and refined sugar production alike.

Direct Contact Heaters (DCH)

Our Direct Contact Heaters instantly raise temperature by directly mixing steam with liquid, ensuring rapid heat transfer, energy efficiency, and consistent processing in sugar and jaggery applications.

Shell & Tube Condensate Heater

SEDL’s Shell & Tube Condensate Heater is a compact, high-efficiency liquid-liquid exchanger for juice heating. Its multi-pass, countercurrent design boosts heat transfer, lowers steam use, and minimizes footprint in sugar processing plants.

Flash Cigar

SEDL’s Condensate Flash System recovers heat from condensate streams via a multi-chambered flash vessel, improving energy efficiency. It eliminates individual pumps, standardizes condensate temperature, and simplifies plant-wide condensate handling and operation.

Molasses Conditioner

SEDL’s Molasses Conditioner uses direct contact with NCGs or low-pressure vapors to dissolve sugar crystals without water. Its compact, static-mixer design ensures efficient operation, cutting steam use, power consumption, and maintenance needs.

Mechanical Circulator

SEDL’s Mechanical Circulator handles viscous liquids with efficient hydrofoil blades and stainless-steel build. Its heavy-duty gearbox ensures reliable, low-speed agitation, making it ideal for vacuum pan crystallization and energy-efficient sugar processing.

Milling System

SEDL’s Milling System extracts juice from prepared cane using three-roller mills with VFD-driven rollers and TUFR feeders. It ensures maximum recovery, uniform load distribution, and energy-efficient, continuous operation in modern sugar manufacturing.

Sugar Melter

SEDL’s Sugar Melter ensures consistent sugar dissolution using syrup or hot water under vacuum or atmospheric conditions. Its stainless-steel, paddle-stirred design maintains precise brix and temperature, eliminating undissolved crystals for continuous,high-quality melting.

Clarifier (SRT)

SEDL’s SRT Clarifier ensures rapid, uniform juice clarification through specialized feed and mud removal design. It delivers ultra-clear juice with low turbidity and minimal residence time, reducing sugar degradation and enhancing process efficiency.
