Jet Ejector
A jet ejector is a static, non-mechanical device used to create vacuum or remove nonn condensable gases by converting the pressure energy of a high-velocity motive fluid i.e water into kinetic energy through a converging nozzle. This jet entrains secondary fluids such as air, vapors, or non-condensable gases, mixes with them, and compresses the resulting mixture to discharge pressure in a diffuser. Jet ejectors are capable of handling large gas volumes efficiently, offering a compact, low-maintenance alternative to mechanical vacuum pumps with significantly reduced power consumption.
A Jet ejector is a vacuum-generating device that uses the kinetic energy of a motive fluid—typically water—to entrain air or non-Condensable gases from the suction side. Through momentum transfer, the motive fluid captures and carries the suction fluid, thereby evacuating it and creating a vacuum in the process.
