Spray Engineering Devices Limited (SED), is driven by a mission to make manufacturing more sustainable. Founded in 1992 by Mr. Vivek Verma, Spray Engineering Devices derived its name from its first manufactured product—a spray nozzle. Since then we have grown from a small manufacturer of spray nozzles into a global leader in zero-carbon emission-driven solutions for industries including sugar, water treatment, jaggery, biofuels, and product concentration.
Our expertise spans critical processes including evaporation, condensation, crystallization, vaporisation and heat exchange, enabling us to design and deliver turnkey solutions and complete processing equipment.
By leveraging advanced R&D and cutting-edge technologies, SEDL designs and manufactures emission-free machinery and offers turnkey solutions with all processing equipment for the sugar industry, including sugar complexes (sugar plant, refinery), MVR-based distilleries, and jaggery plants.
SEDL has pioneered innovations such as the Low-Temperature Evaporator (LTE®) for zero-liquid discharge (ZLD), which is a game-changer for industries with complex wastewater management needs like textiles, pharma, and chemicals. The company has been instrumental in helping industries adopt carbon-free green practices.
Looking ahead to 2030, we aim to produce biofuels at a global fossil fuel competitive cost with zero carbon footprint. We lead with groundbreaking innovations, such as our Mechanical Vapour Recompression (MVR) technology for highly efficient wastewater recycling, and our Boiler-Free Jaggery Production Unit, which turns waste into sustainable products.
Based in Mohali, Punjab, SED operates a world-class R&D unit and three modern fabrication and automation units in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, along with a 500 TPD R&D unit in Bidar, Karnataka. Our commitment to sustainability and innovation continues to support industries in reducing their environmental footprint while achieving greater operational efficiency. Together, let’s build a sustainable future through responsible engineering. Join us in shaping a sustainable future
