Paddle Dryer
The Paddle Dryer is a drying system designed for efficient thermal processing of materials with good thermal stability, such as pastes, powders, and granules. It is also suitable for heat-sensitive materials and applications requiring solvent recovery or vacuum drying. By injecting a heating or cooling medium, the unit supports a range of operations—including drying, cooling, and crystallization. Its robust construction includes a drying chamber, dual rotating shafts with hollow paddle discs, and integrated discharge and moisture removal systems, making it ideal for closed-loop thermal processing.

How it works
Indirect heating jackets are installed in both the drying chamber and hollow paddle discs, using media such as steam, hot water, thermic fluid.
Wet material is fed into the chamber, where dual rotating shafts with paddle discs agitate and move it forward for uniform heat distribution.
The paddles ensure constant mixing, which improves heat transfer efficiency and prevents material buildup or localized overheating.
Moisture evaporates during the process and is extracted via an exhaust system that passes it through a cyclone separator, condenser, and scrubber.
The system supports continuous operation, offering reliable drying performance across various applications and feed types.
Why It'sNeeded
Highly efficient thermal performance that minimizes energy use and operational costs.
Compact and closed-loop design offers a large heat transfer area in a small footprint while reducing heat loss and emissions.
Delivers uniform, controlled drying, making it ideal for moisture-sensitive materials and consistent product quality.
Versatile across industries, with proven effectiveness in drying powders, pastes, granules, and viscous materials in sectors from food to pharma.
